Who do you work with?: 
Tanzania Community Empowerment Foundation (TACEF) is Non-Governmental Organization led by Female, Male and Transgender Sex Worker. It was started as a group in 2013 and officially recommended by kinondoni municipal to serve as a community organization in 2014. TACEF is working to serve the needs of Transgender and Sex Worker the group it has been mainly serves to guide and support for the advocacy work of its members and primarily focuses on human basic rights, health rights, sexual rights with regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity as well as entrepreneurship skills and psychological counselling to LGBTI and sex workers who has mental disturbance. Membership within the TACEF is based on individually.
How are sex workers involved in your organisation?: 
TACEF is currently proud of its 340 member all over Tanzania which includes Female, Male and Transgender Sex Worker and Gays/MSM, /WSW, Bisexual. It also Proud of starting as a membership organization and having implemented community activities from members’ contributions. This showed that members of TACEF had faith with their organization, continue to feel a sense of ownership for the organization and feel it is worth contributing resources for it to function.
Which of NSWP priority areas does your organisation work on?: 
Oppose the criminalisation and other legal oppression of sex work and support its recognition as work
Advocate for universal access to health services, including primary health care, HIV and sexual and reproductive health services
Speak out about violence against sex workers, including violence from police, institutions, clients, and intimate partners, while challenging the myth that sex work is inherently gender-based violence
Challenge stigma and discrimination against sex workers, their families and partners, and others involved in sex work
Advocate for the economic empowerment and social inclusion of sex workers as sex workers
What are the two main challenges that the sex workers you work with face: 
To remove stigma against Transgender, gender non-conforming and Sex Workers. Sex Workers infected and non-infected with HIV, AIDS ,TB and STI’s - help them gain access to medical care. For STI’s, HIV and AIDS without prejudice, and also include male and female sex workers Transgender, gender non-conforming issues to the wider human rights movements in Tanzania.
Describe other areas of your work: 
For the prevention of the HIV amongst Transgender and Sex Workers Gays/MSM, Bisexual and it is an obligation of TACEF to undertake a strong advocacy for the improvement and availability of Lubricants for the Gays/MSM, Bisexual men and Transgender and giving a serious attention to the inclusion of lubricants in the HIV/AIDS National Mult-Secteral Framework. We have been able to reach some of LGBTI and Sex workers in Dar es Salaam with education on HIV and AIDS and proper usage of condoms (LGBTI and SW), lubricants amongst others where some peers were elected and they are educating others in their respective areas. We have been able to advocate on Integrating Sexuality and Spirituality Dialogue Tanzania. The ISSDT dialogue delivered a chance for Religious leaders and LGBT peoples from Dar es salaam, Tanzania to intermingle and share challenges and experiences on barriers to access to health services and other humanitarian services and how to address them. The ISSDT also wanted to create a space for LGBTI and Religion Leaders to express their feelings and attitudes towards spirituality and sexuality related to stigma and discrimination related to HIV/AIDS prevention.
