NSWP has created these media guidelines as a tool that NSWP member groups can use to develop capacity within their organisations to communicate with both internal and external publics.
A well-managed communication and media strategy is integral to reach core audiences but and to achieve the overall strategic objectives of an organisation. It is a tool that supports the achievement of the goals and objectives of member groups. Its success will depend on how member groups will integrate their media strategy into their activities and initiatives.
The strategy aims to be used as a guide to help sex worker-led organisations with managing information flow between NSWP member groups and their public/audience, setting the agenda on public debates about sex work issues, attitudes, and ideas using specific messages and channels of communication.
