Dear Government of Bolivia,

The news about the prostitutes in El Alto who sewed their lips together in protest of the destruction of their livelihoods has made it around the globe. As a sex workers rights advocate in ______, I am appalled that the government of El Alto doesn't seem to be doing anything to help these women regain their livelihoods.

We are confident that you are as concerned about this as we are. Please write back to me and tell me how the government of Bolivia plans to help these women and their families.

La noticia sobre las prostitutas que se cosieron los labios en El Alto como protesta debido a que su sustento (estilo de vida, fuente de ingresos) fue destruido ha recorrido el mundo entero. Como defensora de los derechos de sexo servidoras en ________, estoy sorprendida que el gobierno de El Alto aparentemente no este haciendo nada al respecto para ayudar a que estas mujeres recuperen su sustento.

Tenemos la certeza de que ustedes estan tan preocupados por esta situacion como nosotros. Les agradeceria que respondieran lo mas pronto posible y me digan como el gobierno de Bolivia piensa ayudar a estas mujeres y a sus familias.
