- BANGALORE: Karnataka State Coalition Against ITPA will hold a public rally on Tuesday from Chiklalbagh to Mysore Bank Circle urging the Centre to drop the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act amendment process since it would affect the livelihood of poor sex-workers. It urged the Government to legalise sex work. B.T. Venkatesh, on behalf of the coalition, told presspersons here on Monday that the Centre had proposed to amend the ITPA to punish the clients of sex workers.

- Sex workers took out a rally here on Tuesday to condemn the proposed amendment to the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Amendment (ITPA) Act, 2008, that seek to penalise their clients. More than 300 sex workers from Mysore and Mandya took out the procession under the aegis of Ashodaya Samithi, a voluntary organisation, to denounce the proposed amendments which they said would deny sex workers their right to livelihood.
