We work with female sex workers with a main focus on LBQ and Urban Refugees living and working in Uganda including different partners with whom we share a common goal.
Our entire mandate is addressing the needs of female sex workers with a main focus on LBQ and Urban Refugees who are fully part of our leadership such as management and governance hence the overall decision makers. Our members are the direct beneficiaries of all our projects and programmes mainly aimed at promoting health and human rights of LBQ and Urban Refugee sex workers living and working in Uganda.
In Uganda both sex work and homosexuality are socially, religiously and legally unacceptable which leads to heightened discrimination and stigma towards LBQ and Urban Refugee sex workers due to different perceptions in relation to inter-sectional ties hence obstacles to substantial health care services, legal protection and social services.
We mainly focus on promoting health and human rights through capacity building, evidence based advocacy and economic empowerment .
