An exhibit by a transgender sex worker has opened in London showcasing photographs from her time as a sex worker in Greece in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
The artist, Paola Revenioti will also share photos of her former lovers and clients from 19 October to 3 November at East London’s George and Dragon gay bar, according to a reportby Gay Star News (GSN).
The photo exhibition comprises images of her former lovers and clients and will also include images from Kraximo magazine, which she published from 1986-1992, GSN further reports.
Revenioti is a prominent figure in Athen’s LGBT rights movement and she also is credited with organizing the first gay pride in Greece in Athens (1992).
She is still active in the trans rights movement, Out There Magazine notes, saying she is working on documentary projects and publishing her writings and views on political and social developments in Greece.
