Volunteer with NSWP: Communications and Information Management Volunteers

Share to Pinterest Share to Google+ Share by email

The Global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP) is currently inviting individuals with a commitment to promoting the health and human rights of sex workers to apply to volunteer with the communications and information management team. NSWP exists to uphold the voice of sex workers globally and connect regional networks advocating for the rights of female, male, and transgender sex workers. It advocates for rights based health and social services, freedom from abuse and discrimination, and self-determination for sex workers.

Volunteers will work to support NSWP communications work, and will work closely with the Communications Officer.

The work will require a combination of strong interpersonal, research, writing and information management skills with an ability to recognise and respond to different and sometimes competing needs within the Global Secretariat.

This communications work will support the work of the NSWP in:

  • Facilitating opportunities for information sharing among sex workers, NSWP members and organisations which provide services to female, male and transgender sex workers.
  • Making information and resources accessible to sex workers, policy makers, programme managers and service providers on the NSWP website.

This is an interesting and challenging opportunity that requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative and the ability to work effectively within a small team, primarily using electronic communication.
