2nd March 2021, the day before International Sex Workers’ Rights Day, is SheDecides Day. This globally recognised day of action is held to stand up and speak out in support of girls and women's rights over their bodies, their lives and their future. The organisers of the day are united by the belief in the right of every girl and every woman, everywhere, to make the decisions only she should make. “We are committed to a world where SheDecides. The SEXHUM project (Sexual Humanitarianism: Migration, Sex Work and Trafficking) has published the SEXHUM Policy Making Report with policy recommendations on migration, sex work and trafficking globally and in Australia, France, New Zealand and the US.

NSWP is seeking to appoint a Global Consultant to lead the development of a Briefing Paper, with accompanying Community Guide, on the consequences of misinformation on sex work, the role it plays in national and global decision-making processes, and its impacts on sex workers. NSWP will consider applications from individuals based in or outside of the UK.

'End demand' legislation, which criminalises the purchase of sex and third parties, impedes sex workers’ ability to seek police assistance when they are in danger, according to a new study from the Centre for Gender & Sexual Health Equity (CGSHE) at the University of British Columbia, and University of Ottawa.

This case study is the fourth and final instalment in a series produced by NSWP over a five-year period. Spanning the years 2015 to 2019, three previous case studies documented the role of NSWP and its member organisations in the development, implementation, and monitoring of rights-affirming international guidelines and policies on sex work. These case studies also examined the usage and impact of international guidelines and policies in local, national, and regional sex worker advocacy.
