Sex workers in the Brussels and Walloon Regions. Psycho-medical-social and legal support for sex workers. Social and medical support available at the office and in locations where sex work takes place (salons, bars, shop windows, private homes, streets, etc.) + collective and community support.

Représentant de travailleurSes du sexe dans notre assemblée générale dont des membres d'Utsopi et des travailleuses du sexe indépendantes. 
Au sein de notre conseil d'administration, des personnes ayant exercer le travail du sexe sont représentées. 
Les projets sont menés en concertation avec les travailleur.se.s du sexe.

Representative of sex workers in our general assembly, including members of Utsopi and independent sex workers.

Our board of directors includes individuals with lived experience of sex work.

Projects are carried out in consultation with sex workers.

 

Which of NSWP priority areas does your organisation work on?
Oppose the criminalisation and other legal oppression of sex work and support its recognition as work
Critique the trafficking paradigm that conflates representations of sex work, migration, and mobility
Advocate for universal access to health services, including primary health care, HIV and sexual and reproductive health services
Speak out about violence against sex workers, including violence from police, institutions, clients, and intimate partners, while challenging the myth that sex work is inherently gender-based violence
Oppose human rights abuses, including coercive programming, mandatory testing, raids and forced rehabilitation
Challenge stigma and discrimination against sex workers, their families and partners, and others involved in sex work
Advocate for the economic empowerment and social inclusion of sex workers as sex workers
What are the two main challenges that the sex workers you work with face

Stigmatisation et auto-stigmatisation lié à la discrimination dont iels sont victimes de part l'activité excercée, de part leur identité de genre( transphobie, femme Cis, homme ayant du sexe avec les hommes), 
Lutte contre les violences liées à l'exercice de leur activité dans l'espace public, violence et exclusion sociale des services d'aide au niveau des institutions en social - santé.
Information et éducation au droit => Empowerment des TDS 

Stigmatization and self-stigmatization linked to the discrimination they face due to their work and gender identity (transphobia, cisgender women, men who have sex with men).

Combating violence related to their work in public spaces, violence, and social exclusion from support services within social and health institutions.

Information and education on rights => Empowerment of sex workers.
